Green Death or She no Start

Classic Green Death in isolator switch

How many times have I received calls of I just can’t get her started.

Well, the answer my friend is often Green Death!

To be clear, green death is where the elements we wish to be exploring are often the cause of us not getting there. It’s the copper oxidation of the electrical system preventing the motor to get the very voltage required to get us under way. Or potentially components such as the radio not wanting to switch on.

The solution is often simple to resolve, and it comes down to checking you wiring for a green oxidation of the wiring.

Ok so the example shown is extreme, ie worst case. Normally cleaning the terminals connecting wires should resolve the problem. However, we should also consider that the green death is now within the wire covered by the plastic shield. In this case it’s best to replace the wiring completely. This will ensure you avoid any voltage drops, if you need help doing so contact me above.
