Victron Energy systems
for boats, 4WDs and caravans.

Rob designs, installs and maintains Victron Energy systems in Airlie Beach and across the Whitsundays. That covers lithium batteries, solar, DC-DC charging, inverter/chargers, battery monitoring and VRM remote monitoring, on boats at Coral Sea Marina, Port of Airlie and Shute Harbour, on 4WDs, and on caravans at the holiday parks from Cannonvale to Proserpine.

Why Victron

Victron batteries, chargers, solar controllers and inverters are built to work together and talk to each other. That means charging is managed properly, faults show up on a screen or on your phone, and the system can be added to later without starting again.

How it works

Design, install, maintain

1. Design

Rob starts with a power audit: what you run, for how long, and where the charge comes from. From that he sizes the batteries, solar and charging, or plans an upgrade for the system you already have.

2. Install

Every component fitted, wired and commissioned as one system on the DC side. Then VictronConnect and Bluetooth are set up on your phone before Rob leaves so you can see what the system is doing.

3. Maintain

Health checks, firmware updates, settings and charge profile adjustments, and expansions when you want more solar or more battery. Rob also fixes Victron systems that were installed badly by someone else.

What we install

Victron equipment

Rob works with the full Victron Energy range and sizes each system for how you actually use the boat, vehicle or van.

Smart Lithium Batteries & BMS

Victron Smart Lithium (LiFePO4) batteries with battery management, sized for real loads and paired with matching charging and protection.

SmartSolar MPPT

Solar charge controllers with Bluetooth monitoring built in, sized to the panels on your deck or roof.

Orion DC-DC Chargers

Charges the house or auxiliary bank from the alternator with lithium safe charge profiles.

MultiPlus & Quattro

Inverter/chargers for 240V appliances at anchor or camp. Rob installs and commissions the DC side. The 240V AC side is done by a licensed electrical contractor.

SmartShunt & BMV Monitors

Battery monitors that show state of charge, current in and out, and time remaining.

Cerbo GX & GX Touch

The central controller for the system. One screen with everything on it, and the link to remote monitoring.

Lynx Distribution

DC distribution and busbar systems for larger installs, with fusing and room to expand.

VRM Remote Monitoring

See the whole system from your phone from anywhere. Alerts, history, and the ability to check on the boat or van when you are not there.

Where it goes

Boats, 4WDs, caravans and off-grid

Rob installs Victron systems on sail and power boats at Coral Sea Marina, Port of Airlie and Shute Harbour, on charter vessels, on 4WD touring setups, on caravans and campers at the holiday parks along Shute Harbour Road and out to Proserpine, and on off-grid sheds and cabins around Cannon Valley, Strathdickie and Conway. Off-grid work is DC side only.

Already have a Victron system?

Rob services and repairs existing Victron installs, including systems that were put in badly by someone else. Health checks, firmware, settings, expansions and fault finding.

Common questions

Victron FAQs

Do I need a full system, or can I add Victron gear to what I have?

Either. Rob often starts with a power audit and an upgrade plan for an existing system, then adds the parts that make the biggest difference first.

Can I see my system on my phone?

Yes. VictronConnect gives you Bluetooth access when you are near the system. VRM remote monitoring lets you check the whole system from anywhere, with alerts and history.

Do you do the 240V side of an inverter install?

No. Rob installs the DC side and commissions the system. Any 240V AC wiring is done by a licensed electrical contractor, and Rob can work alongside them.

Can you fix a Victron system someone else installed?

Yes. Rob goes through the whole system, sorts out the wiring and settings, and gets it working the way it should.
